Great interview with Master Lei Maker Hilo native Aunty Doreen Henderson. She and her students, collectively known as Lei Hulu of Hilo, have produced a masterful display of feather pieces in the patience-exacting old Hawaiian style. Come marvel at lei hulu, kāhili (royal feather standards), 'ulī'ulī (feather gourds) and 'ahu'ula (feather capes). Participants will learn to make a feather flower. Regular museum admission applies.
